They’re calling him The Luckiest Man Alive.
He crossed the finish line at the marathon about 30 seconds before the first blast. His wife Amy and the couple’s friends were hit by flying debris but suffered only minor bruising (A woman standing next to Amy had her leg blown off from the knee down and the fingers off one hand).
Then, two days later Joe was driving home to Austin, Texas after a day of meetings in Dallas, down route 35 south, when he saw and felt a “rumbling blast”.
He says he feels lucky, blessed. I hope we get to hear more about what he’s thinking and feeling over the next couple of months.
Talk about getting tapped on the shoulder by The Universe.
